Её тематикой является человеческая деятельность в исторических областях [[Западная Пруссия|Западная]] и [[Восточная Пруссия]].<br /> === Это же Википедия! ===<br /> Несмотря на похожие принципы работы, оформление макета и структуру, Янтарная ноосфера отличается от Википедии:<br /> # &#039;&#039;&#039;Узкая специализация.&#039;&#039;&#039; Если Википедия призвана предоставлять, в целом, сжатую информацию обо всех возможных темах, то Янтарная ноосфера сосредотачивается именно на исторических областях Западной и Восточной Пруссии. Происходящее в других регионах не описывается. Кроме того, внимание в первую очередь уделяется человеческой деятельности. Естественные науки, применяемые к конкретному региону (например, география) являются лишь второстепенным профилем энциклопедии.<br /> # &#039;&#039;&#039;Инклюзионизм.&#039;&#039;&#039; Довольно известным вопросом редактирования Википедии является значимость статей. Существует ряд критерий для разных тем, по которым эта значимость может быть измерена и, в случае её недостаточности, статья может быть удалена из Википедии. Поскольку масштаб Янтарной ноосферы более «мелкий», то и объективная значимость повышается. Например, статья об улице в Википедии будет признана значимой далеко не всегда, в отличие от ЯН.<br /> # &#039;&#039;&#039;Расширенная многоязычность.&#039;&#039;&#039; Так исторически сложилось в Википедии, что языковая обособленность стоит превыше наполненности статьи. Этому способствует и её глобальный статус, и несовершенство программного обеспечения движка МедиаВики, исполььзуемого энциклопедиями. Улучшение последнего не стоит на месте, и Янтарная ноосфера использует инструмент, призванный для лучшей работы участников-носителей разных языков — расширение «Перевод». Пока он, например, сразу позволит участнику из Литвы увидеть страницу на литовском языке и, при желании, дополнить перевод. В будущем такой участник сможет изменять не только перевод, но и сам фактологический материал статьи.<br /> <br /> == Чья эта энциклопедия? ==<br /> === Кто сюда пишет? ===<br /> Каждый может изменить практически любую страницу на Янтарной ноосфера (и не только статью). При этом таких людей точнее было бы назвать вкладчиками, а не авторами, так как они создают только изменение в статью, но не саму информацию. Следовательно, Янтарная ноосфера (как и Википедия) не может являться источником информации — здесь лишь собрана информация из других источников.<br /> <br /> === Кто ею управляет? ===<br /> Этот проект был основан [[Участник:Ядерный Трамвай|Сергеем Румянцевым]] осенью 2014 года на вики-хостинге Викия. Техническое администрирование, оплата хостинга до текущего времени производится им же на добровольных личных началах.</div>
